Master Cleanse 2009

Introduction & Welcome!

Welcome to my journal, my personal diary... The following Journal will capture my unedited experience of participating in a master cleanse, something I want to try for myself having read so much about it. At the time of writing I am not sure how long I will sustain it for although I will begin today Monday 23^rd February. I am committed to completing 7 days in the first instance and a maximum of 12 days as I want to undertake The 92 day Global Juice Feast from the 7 March 2009.

My aim at this time is to share with you the reader, any changes that happen for the duration of this amazing experience: physically, emotionally, environmentally, mentally, spiritually and socially (PEEMSSA™).

Having been involved with raw and living foods for more than 3 years, I now feel ready to commit more deeply to this lifestyle choice and want to cleanse my body before fully embracing the next chapter of my life. I believe the master cleanse will instigate numerous insights which I want to capture for myself personally as well as sharing them with you.

This journal is going to be a daily account of my experience as I participate in a Master Cleanse (for the original book source see The Master Cleanse by Stanley Burroughs).

Each day will consist of a blended mix of the following (up to a gallon):

©       28 oz  distilled water

©       5 T Agave Nectar Light (in place of maple syrup) 

©       5 T Lemon Juice (from freshly squeezed lemons)

©       1 capsule's worth of Cayenne pepper

I will also aim to have a salt water flush last thing at night:

©       32oz Luke warm water

©       2 tsp Himalayan salt

Through this unedited daily journal I will share all of my PEEMSSA™ experience with you together with my thoughts as I prepare to participate in a 92 day juice feast on completion of my cleanse. Ultimately I will then follow a 100% raw & living food lifestyle for as long as it feels right to do so.

I hope that my honest and open account will inspire you on your journey towards optimal health and encourage you to live your life on purpose!

I am choosing to undertake this cleanse at a time that is right for me and after a great deal of research and exploration of juicing and cleansing. Let me introduce myself:

My name is Michèle Snedden and I am also known as The Conscious Living Practitioner™. I am 45 years of age and I’m currently based in Portsmouth on the South coast of England in the UK. I perform many roles in my life including step mum, company director, trainer, life coach, writer, healer and raw food chef to name a few.

I believe in and am passionate about eating consciously and believe it is an individual choice and journey. I have personally experienced the highs and lows of changing my own eating habits over many years and have a desire to share my knowledge and experience to the benefit of others. However, I do not believe that 'one size fits all' as there are so many factors to consider! I continue to expand my education and development because I deem this to be a life long journey. My life is not static, it is always in motion, and I want to continue moving forward. I want to be the best me possible. I want to live on purpose!  I am dedicated to offering qualified professional expertise and personal experience to support other people to move forward in their life. My deepest desire is to empower and inspire others to reach their potential using conscious living principles.

During the past 25 years I have spent precious time trying to master my body and myself in some form or another through exercise, diet, continuous professional and personal development and more recently and consciously through meditation and introducing juice feasting, raw gourmet and living foods into my diet.

My vast knowledge and experience in all factors relating to holistic health have significantly influenced my journey and have continuously inspired me personally and professionally. Having initially struggled to overcome and replace the negative behaviour’s and beliefs established in my early childhood, I continue to peel away the layers, much like a snake sheds its old skin. As I release the toxins from every level of my life I feel more joyful, I have greater clarity and my capacity to live on purpose with conscious awareness is magnified!
